10.12.2011 im Kölner Stadtanzeiger erschienenen Artikel des renommierten Autoren und Gastro-Kritikers Helmut Gote.

Unter der Überschrift „Karibischer Rum in Lindenthal – Carlos Morfa verkauft die ersten 3.000 Flaschen Dos Ron“
schreibt er u.a. über unseren 8 und 16jährigen Rum:

„Beide sind eine Rum-Erfahrung von ganz eigenem Reiz – kaum süß und sehr fein ausbalanciert. Der jüngere wirkt vollmundiger, man meint, im Hintergrund Karamell, Vanille und Zuckerrohr zu schmecken, auch Nuancen von Orangenschal schwingen mit. Der ältere ist komplexer, hat zusätzlich ganz leichte, salzige Noten, erinnert ein bisschen an amerikanischen Whisky und hat eine enorme Länge am Gaumen.“

cherry red and cinnabar. The exotic scent has clear notes
of precious woods, but also confectionery with a core
of sugar cane molasses. The flavor is harmonious, wellbalanced,
full-bodied and consistent. This classic rum is
best enjoyed neat or on the rocks. However, it maintains
its character, scent and aroma if mixed."

flavors of sassafras float with mocha ice cream,
cashew brittle, chocolate-coconut soufflé, and
dried stone fruit and alfalfa with a satiny, soft,
fruity medium body and a tingling, elegant, long
vanilla custard on tropical fruits, hint of
caramelized fennel, and orange cola finish. A soft
and elegantly styled sipping rum."

vanished wood, roasted plantain, peach and nuts,
hint of tobacco, and molasses fig cookie with a
soft, dryish light-to-medium body and a tingling,
breezy dark roasted nuts, dried apricot and
banana in vanilla yogurt, mixed peppercorns, and
tea finish. A pleasant, lighter styled sipping rum."
